KetoMoxi Duo (Moxifloxacin + Ketorolac) 5 mg/ml + 4 mg/ml eye drops, solution
Therapeutic indications
KetoMoxi Duo 5 mg/ml + 4 mg/ml eye drops, solution is indicated for treatment of pain and inflammation associated with superficial bacterial infections of the eye caused by microorganism sensitive to moxifloxacin.
Eye drops solution is indicated in adults.
Mechanism of action
Moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone, inhibits the DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV required for bacterial DNA replication, repair, and recombination.
Ketorolac trometamol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent demonstrating analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity. Ketorolac trometamol inhibits the cyclo-oxygenase enzyme essential for biosynthesis of prostaglandins. Ketorolac trometamol has been shown to reduce prostaglandin levels in the aqueous humour after topical ophthalmic administration.
